One simple change...

Hand me down chairs, throw pillows, some spray paint, and a little elbow grease... will transform your concrete back porch, into a serene get away!

The wrought iron chairs in this photograph were my grand-mothers, handed down to my mother, and then to me! Yes, they are that old! The moral is don't ever throw wrought iron away! It lasts for ever! Well almost! :) A little black spray paint to freshen them up and a few cushions turned my once perfectly imperfect concrete back porch is now a little more perfect as this transformed it into my tranquil terrace by the pool! A rug, a few pots with some additional flowers and voila, you have an extra outdoor living space for fun! Cozy and tranquil additional square footage added to your home, to relax in, is always a win! It makes it feel like a new home! I recommend you use all of your living space and your outdoor space! Everyone needs a quiet place to go sometimes! I sit out here almost every day to clear my head, and think, and sometimes for a mental break during the day! This space is also great for guests, especially during these trying times! You can do this, I know you can! Just like I did! It was easy and doesn't take much time at all. If you don't have any hand me down chairs go to your local flea market, Salvation Army, Thrift stores, or buy new as well, from my favorites on this page. Anyone with a back porch, back yard, balcony in an apartment, or even a front porch area, can make an outdoor living area that will be the envy of all! Even if it is a little imperfect! Once again, a little perfectly imperfect inspired ideas! If you don't have a pool, any water feature makes a great focal point and /or more flowers are always a simple low cost addition and really catch the eye, as well as change the mood of the area. They really do relax me, and make me smile! I hope they do that for you as well!

Pretty is as Pretty does...

You are perfect! My grand-mother, Peggy Lou Wallace, my inspiration for this blog and store, would always say, "Pretty is as Pretty does" well, those words are no less true, spoken today. I really didn't know the full meaning when she would say that but, I figured it out soon enough. What you do shows your true beauty. It is not the outside of your body, not your hair, eyes, or color of your skin. It is what's in your heart, on the inside, that counts. I know I am imperfect, but I do my best every day to to be better than the day before. I make mistakes. I fall down, but I get right back up. If I do something I didn't mean to do or was unkind in any way, I try to say I am sorry as soon as possible, and do my best to never do it again. I know life is hard, and we all need an inspiration. I am so thankful for all my family, they truly were all wonderful role-models and inspired me to be the person I am today. So remember, "beauty is only skin deep", and "actions really do speak louder than words", and "Pretty is as Pretty does". Love yourself because we are all perfectly imperfect, and that is just fine. I hope that our blog and products have inspired you! You can change your life in big ways, with very small changes. --One small flower in a room can transform the entire home, in ways, more than one. Be true to yourself. You are strong, you are beautiful inside and out! Hugs, Jacquelyn Christine Bleigh, and I know my grand-mother would have said the same, so I am signing for her... xxoo Peggy Lou Wallace.
